Yo all. Watching the drama Hotel King made me realize that its character's personality and/or destiny, was similar to some characters on the show Game of Thrones, which I really like. These are my personal assumptions, so you can agree or disagree as you like. Peace!
Go under the cut for more... :)

[Review] Kdrama - I Need Romance 3
I Need Romance 3 is a romantic comedy about a 33 year old woman who doesn't believe in love anymore and a 20-something year old (I suppose he's 26) who believes in pure love. This is the third season of this drama, but is unrelated to the previous two because every season has a different cast. In INR3 Shin Joo Yeon, a successful woman in the marketing environment, is played by Kim So Yeon. She has had various relationships and all ended badly, and because of this reason she came to the conclusion that true love doesn't exist and all men are the same. Her ideas are about to change when Joo Wan, played by Sung Joon *swoon*, comes back to Korea. Joo Wan was the child Joo Yeon had to look after when he was little. He used to call her Shing Shing, while she always called him Sweet Potato because he had a face like a potato and in her opinion was ugly. When Joo Wan comes back and calls Shing Shing to inform her that he'll come to stay at her place, the woman treats him badly on the phone. She doesn't want to live with an ugly guy and younger. The guy doesn't give up, and when he meets Shing Shing by accident when he's doing a DJ session at a party (he is a musician/composer of famous singers), he is more eager to find out why the woman changed over the years. He sees she feels lonely and helpless, but he doesn't pity her because he realizes what the woman lost is faith in her feelings and that she's now only calculating things with her mind. His goal is make her see that she can love again and that she can be loved by somebody like him despite he is younger than her.
When I first read about this drama, I wanted to watch it. But as usual, I've only started it when it ended. I am happy I watched it because first, it was very delightful and more kinky compared to other dramas I've watched from the main networks that have those boring peck on the lips between the main leads... blergh. On this drama every action was realistic and the actors had chemistry with each other despite they are ten years apart (!!). Second, it was shorter. Usually a drama lasts for one hour straight, but this was less than 50 minutes long and things happened fast. Let's just say I don't mind an episode being long, but sometimes they drag things... Third. It was a light drama to watch. Cheerful. It tried to portray relationships and the problems of people in their 20's, 30's and 40's and it succeeded. I felt so close with some of the leads too. Sad it finished but it's possible next year there will be a 4th season with a different cast so I'm hopeful. Fourth... look at Sung Joon, isn't he the cutest? And the Shing Shing/Potato couple is funny and youthful.

Review [KDrama] - Emergency Couple/Emergency Man and Woman
Emergency Man and Woman or simply Emergency Couple (응급남녀), is a Kdrama airing right now on tvn (Fridays and Saturdays) starring Song Ji Hyo and Choi Jin Hyuk. They play Oh Jin Hee and Oh Chang Min, a divorced couple because of various misunderstandings. When they married, both of their families were against their wedding. This problem soon influenced their life as a couple. Things went wrong and after one year of marriage, the two divorced. They met after six years at a common friends' wedding, and later they find out that they are both inters at the same hospital (they are medical students). Chang Min tries hard to have his ex wife out of the hospital as soon as possible, but Jin Hee proves she's a good doctor and impresses their other team mates and chief, Doctor Gook, who later develops a liking in OJH. While having to be forced to stay together, the ex couple starts seeing things of one another that they didn't before, and it seems like sparks may fly again... To make things more complicated, Chang Min's wealthy family (and his annoying but funny mother) try to match him with rich girls such as Ah Reum, the daughter of a minister who is also an intern at the hospital. What will happen? Are Oh Jin Hee and Oh Chang Min to be a couple again?
This drama is brilliant. Besides the medical stuff a la Greys, there's funny lines and cute moments between the characters. It was love at first sight, and I hope it ends well (as it should, since it's a rom com).

[Review] - Star Crossed
Star Crossed is the new tvshow of The CW. It aired its Pilot last week. It stars Matt Lanter and Aimee Teegarden. Here's a short synopsis of episode one:
On an autumn night of 2014, a big spaceship lands on Earth. The people in it are aliens, and they are soon held in by the police and military. A little child escapes through the woods and hides in a shed, where a girl helps him hide and gives him food. When the cops find the child, they shot a laser gun at him and he falls down. The little girl believes he's dead. But he isn't. The child, Roman, is one of the Seven Atrians that ten years later are allowed to attend high school for the first time. The guy knows that Emery is the girl who saved him, and so he tries to talk to her casually on the first day of school. She is still kind, but not every human is like her. Some groups try to bully the Atrians and want fights - they know that they have the upper hand so they are trying to make it look like it's the opposite. Besides the bullies and prejudices, we get a glimpse into main characters' lives. We find out that Emery is an ex patient of immuno deficiency and has a friend who still suffers with cancer. She is aware that the Atrians may have an herb called cyper that can help her cure her disease, so the two girls get into the Section only to find out from Roman and that this herb is just a herb and that's it. Later in the episode we find out that the cyper really works because Roman uses it on Emery's friend to save her from death - but Emery doesn't know he did.
I must say, I expected stuff from this show. It looked good back in May 2013 when it was presented at The CW panel, and it didn't disappoint me. It has the right mix of mystery and basically it makes you doubt of anyone. You can't really trust anybody on this show. The chemistry between Roman and Emery is undeniable. The actors are very good at their roles and OMG, what a hot combo. I also hope something will happen between the other humans and Seven Atrian. Approved! Hope The CW won't axe this, although the ratings aren't very good.
[KDrama] Cunning Single Lady
Yesterday night I gave in and I watched a new Korean drama that started on Wednesday on MBC, "Cunning Single Lady" (앙큼한 돌싱녀). It stars Lee Min Jung as Na Ae Ra and Joo Sang Wook as Cha Jung Woo.
Cunning Single Lady starts with the flashback of how Ae Ra and Jung Woo met. The man was a hard working student and always used to eat at Ae Ra's restaurant. On her mother's suggestion, the woman starts dating the man despite he wasn't very good looking back then. She keeps supporting him in everything he does, but things change a little after the two get married. Jung Woo quits his job and his wife isn't happy about it. Their relationship gets worse as Ae Ra starts working again (she was a housewife after she married JW) and her husband's new project isn't progressing as he thought it would. The two end up divorcing because of Ae Ra, because she doesn't want to wait until someone will finance her husband's project.
After three years, Na Ae Ra lives with her best friend in a little apartment. She has a stable job but she hasn't found the man of her dreams yet. Casually, she finds out that her ex husband Jung Woo has become a chaebol because of an application he invented (that really exists!). Ae Ra can't believe her eyes but she has to accept she and her ex are now strangers. Fate wants that Jung Woo has to help Ae Ra clarify a little detail with some awful men (Jeez, most of the times the men on this show treat women very badly). After all is cleared, her ex husband prompts her that next time he won't help her anymore.
It won't be easy for Na Ae Ra to get her ex back. On her ex's side, we have the dark and mysterious Kook Yeo Jin who is the daughter of the biggest investor of Jung Woo's project. The woman seems to have lost her husband in an accident, and is possible she now sees his "spirit" in Jung Woo and this attracts her towards him. There is also somebody who likes Na Ae Ra (well not yet but I'm sure he will), that is Yeo Jin's alternative brother, Seung Hyun.
This drama started off very well and has good premises for the future. I was caught by it since the first scene... I will keep watching for sure. Airs on MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21.55.

Review/Recap: My Mad Fat Diary 2x02
New week, new episode of MMFD. This episode was already avaiable on 4oD for British people, but I could only watch it today.
Last week we were left with Rae's realization that she isn't okay after the death of her rehab friend Tixy. She also feared school and that what happened in her previous institute would repeat itself. That's why Rae skips the first week of school until her mother makes her face it. Rae promises she'll attend school, but as soon as she does, it seems to her that is not going to end well. Archie suggests her that she's got to be "under the radar", she has to blend with the other girls and boys so that she won't feel left out. Rae believes that is a good suggestion, and she tries to apply it to her relationship with Finn too. She's been avoiding her boyfriend during the week she's been absent at school. The guy wonders why she has been so distant and Rae tries to make excuses until they kiss and she understands why he's not an usual guy and he really likes her. He offers her to do a little sleepover at his house because his father is going to be out for a few days, and Rae accepts despite she's afraid. Realizing they are possibily going to do something while they are alone, she starts feeling unfit again. She's very scared that Finn won't like her body and that she'll embarrass herself. Her mother also helps Rae be more unsure because she is in the same situation with her husband (but at a different level of course). When Rae goes to Finn's, she tries to get him drunk so that he won't try to make a move on her, and she succeds. The following days she keeps on avoiding Finn because she thinks she's out of his league and people would joke on him if they would find out that they are together. Finn faces Rae about her being distant while at school. The two have a face to face convo in a bathroom at school, and once again Finn tells Rae that he likes her because he likes her, and that nobody can say anything about this. They kiss and seems to have cleared the little misunderstanding. When they try to go out, the doorknob breaks and they have to wait someody to open them. Rae is afraid that when people find them, they will think they have done some dirty things in that bathroom (that was out of order too!). Rae isn't wrong. The next day, Simmy, a bossy guy at school who gives nicknames to everyone, starts calling Rae "magic fanny" because rumor spreads that she and Finn got it on in the bathroom. The girl feels panicked, and decides to make a decision that will mess up her life once more. She goes to Finn's house and breaks up with him. She is unhappy with the decision as well as he, but we can't hear the exact dialogues because Rae's diary voice talks. Rae realizes that maybe she may still be afraid of going to school and that the only place where she feels "safe" is the rehab building.
This episode wasn't exciting as last weeks'. It was still good, though. One reason I love this show is that it is very real. It deals with real issues every teen girl has. I love when Rae exposes her thoughts through her diary, because she writes great truths that anyone can relate to. We will see how it will go now that Rae and Finn broke up. I wonder if Finn will go after her and will show the school that he likes her and doesn't care what other think. It's probable that he will do that, I can see him do that. Or he will surprise us all and he will be an asshole and wait until Rae is ready.

[KDrama] - Protect the Boss
Protect The Boss 보스를 지켜라 is a 2011 drama starring Ji Sung and Choi Kang Hee.
It deals about a rascal boss called Cha Ji Heon, who somehow dislikes his job and is always late or unattentive when it comes to it. His father is very disappointed in him because he would like his son to become the next chairman. His troubles are about to end when Ji Heon's cousin Cha Moo Won, who also works at the same company but unlike his cousin is good at his job, appoints the unlucky but bubbly No Eun Sol as Cha Ji Heon's secretary.
Eun Sol and Ji Heon find out that they have "history" when they meet each other again. The two, infact, had previously met and the man had been threatned by a gang and the woman had protected him. JH doesn't want ES as his secretary and tries anything to make her quit. Soon he realizes that she can help him with his problem, his fear of the crowd. He quickly develops feelings for the woman and has to face his cousin who also likes ES, in a man-to-man battle to win her heart. In all this mess there is also Ji Heon's ex, who tries to mess with ES because she can't accept that both cousins like her who comes from a humble class.
Protect The Boss is a witty drama with funny scenes where the evil people don't look like they are evil nor mentally well themselves. Basically, the older people act as if they were five. It's quite funny how the younger guys seem smarter. Above all, I think Eun Sol can represent the usual real life girl. She is smart and tries to be a realist. She is also able to protect herself and is indipendent, unlike the other protagonists who are from a high class.
A problem I find in this drama, is that despite the actors in it are very good, the storyline doesn't seem to catch one's interest much. I'm on episode 10 right now and I feel bored to go on. This drama didn't have the effect others had on me, where I found myself at 1am still wanting to watch. I believe I am going to at least finish this one, but it won't be in my top ten for sure. Will update this post once I am finished with all the episodes!
